I once read an interview with Robert Smith in which he said that, contrary to popular belief, he's not any more depressed than the next guy. He just feels more inspired, and thus likely to write the songs that get sent out into the world, when he is depressed.

Much the same way, I think I am more likely to write when things aren't going well. Then sometimes I try and resist the urge because who would want to read a bunch of whining from me?

The point is: Things are going SOOO good right now that I just want to give a cosmic shout out to the universe to say thank you.

I have a new job, which I love and which pays me just enough money that I am not impoverished. Excellent.

In order to get to the new job site I needed a car. So I got one. Righteous. And it is red. Even better.

I have awesome friends who came to visit me after I got my tonsils out. They rock. And the ones who live far away called me to check in. Love them.

Oh, and the apartment I wrote about back in April? It rocks my world too.

Things are excellent. And instead of waiting to write when I am depressed, well, I'd rather do it now.
