Sitting on the back steps at this late hour I was both thrilled that no less than six of my neighbors have wireless Internet connections and saddened that all of them require passwords.

In other news: I believe that sea lions are among bats, owls and yours truly to fall into the category of nocturnal animals. They are barking like mad at present and then lie and flop about to nap when tourists go to visit during saner hours. At the zoo they all seem to be awake during the day to clap their fins for fish. So very curious.
